Student and Practitioner Resources

Occupational therapy promotes participation in the everyday activities that are important to you. The current COVID-19 pandemic has caused a significant disruption and changes to our habits, routines, and rituals, severely impacting everyday life.

Our occupational therapy goal is to benefit people’s overall participation in everyday habits and routines that can positively impact our physical and emotional health as well as our overall well-being.

What can we do to adjust to our new “normal” and continue to live an everyday life to its fullest?

Capstone

Our Capstone experience and project offer organizations the opportunity to partner with an advanced OT student to evaluate, envision, create or improve their processes, services, products or other essential components of the work they do.

The OT Doctoral Capstone is the culminating experience in the program and occurs after all coursework and 24 weeks of Level II FW are successfully completed.

Level I Fieldwork

Level I fieldwork experiences are incorporated into several required courses during the OTD program. Level I experiences provide the opportunity for students to apply course learning in a practice context under the supervision of faculty.

The purpose of faculty led Level I Fieldwork experiences is to introduce students to the fieldwork experience and allow them to apply their knowledge to practice while developing an understanding of client needs. This is where our fieldwork community partners come in!
