We prepare students to understand, apply, analyze and synthesize the science and practice of occupational therapy

Our Graduates at Work

The University of Minnesota’s OT program expanded beyond the Twin Cities campus in 2007 to include a second campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Our coursework ranges from theory to hands on, supervised, data-driven field work and evolves to meet the changing workforce needs of the present day and future.

In the process, we prepare students to understand, apply, analyze and synthesize the science and practice behind occupational therapy.

Our students employ these concepts in a variety of contexts and settings, including state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories, laboratory simulations, online learning activities, and within patients’ homes and their communities.

"The students we meet through the University of Minnesota who come to PRC bring the newest evidence-based practices that they just learned about while in school."

Katy Gust with patient

"I'm so grateful that the University of Minnesota helped me become an OT. That's just the most important thing to me. I think that the program knows how important our field is and they send us out ready to go."

- Katy Gust, UMN OT Student
