Research Summary / Interests

Dr. Oldenburg’s scholarship regarding clinical research as well as scholarship of teaching and
learning include:

Studying populations and occupational therapy service delivery processes in regards to standardized and functional cognitive tool use in acute care
Learning processes in preparation for and during experiential contexts (i.e., fieldwork) in adult rehabilitation contexts
Advancing knowledge dissemination regarding acute care practice, leadership, and education topics as a co-founder and editor in chief of the Journal of Acute Care for Occupational Therapy (JACOT).

Practice

Dr. Oldenburg has over ten years of experience in acute care practice serving a variety of adult populations at Mayo Clinic-Rochester (i.e., orthopedic, general medicine, cardiopulmonary, and intensive care). She also has home health care experience serving urban and rural communities with a variety of adult and older adult populations and housing contexts.
