ACOTE Approval

The University of Minnesota Program in Occupational Therapy has been approved by ACOTE to admit students into the Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program. We are no longer accepting applications into the Master of Occupational Therapy Program.

Here you’ll find information about prerequisites, application process, a brief profile of the recently admitted students and a link to the application. Person’s holding an OT degree from the University of Minnesota who have been initially certified by the NBCOT are eligible to apply for the OTD by experience. Please note that email is the official form of communication at the University of Minnesota. It is important to check the email account that you enter in the OTCAS application for updates about your application status at the University of Minnesota.

OTD Information Sessions

otd logoAll prospective students are encouraged to attend an Information Session to learn about Occupational Therapy at the University of Minnesota. If you have remaining questions after attending the Information Session, send your inquiries to cahpinfo@umn.edu. Due to the volume of applications and inquiries, there is limited available time to schedule individual appointments.

Join us Wednesday, September 25 from noon-1 pm or Wednesday, October 9 from 3-4 pm. Both sessions will take place in the Children's Rehabilitation Building room 262.
