Review entry-level knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate and design interventions for remediation of upper extremity strength deficits. Topics include strength evaluation and manual muscle testing; evaluation of grip and pinch strength; and interventions to remediate muscle weakness.

- Determine when evaluation of upper extremity strength is appropriate and the best method for obtaining such data.
- Determine when muscle strengthening is indicated.
- Describe preparatory and occupation based interventions as a mechanism for improving strength.
